Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam has been in a relationship with Saudi Arabia for a very long time, dating back 7000 years BC and even tempeh now. The relationships formed from the kingdom have a fiber of emotional both in the political sector, harmonious in the world of trade and peaceful in the religious world. In the business world, in ancient times the Arab people took and cooperated in the business of trading camphor from Aceh, cinnamon, patchouli oil and so on.
At the time of the birth of the first Islamic Kingdom in the archipelago, known as King Jeumpa or Sultan Jeumpa in Bireuen, in the 760s AD, with his real name Abdullah bin Hasan Mutsananna, who was the great-grandson of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. At that time, the relationship of the Kingdom of Perlak with Arabia, was a very strong political relationship. At the time, all political centers of Islam were referred to as caliphs and their centers were in Syria. But its first center was in Medina during the time of the companions of the Prophet.
Once in Damascus, then the center of his Caliph moved to Baghdad. So at that time, there were about 100 caliphs from Baghdad sent to the Kingdom of Perlak, to strengthen Shia Islam in the archipelago. At that time the Kingdom of Perlak was part of the Caliph in Baghdad so they sent their people to the area, to strengthen Shia Islam in the archipelago.
The caliph in question who was sent to the Kingdom of Perlak, consisted of various experts, some were experts in Government Science, Politics, War, Agriculture, Marine, Trade and in various other disciplines.
In the time of Samudera Pasai relations with the Arab world grew stronger and closer. in 1858 AD Baghdad was devastated by war. Thus, the Islamic Caliph Center was temporarily moved to the Kingdom of Pasai, during the time of Sultan Malikussaleh. So that good relations with Aceh, continue to be established in every phase of the leadership of the kingdom. So that at the time of the birth of the Aceh Kingdom in 1507, even at the time of the king's appointment, it was in constant contact with Mecca, until its heyday in the 1630s, at that time Sultan Iskandar Muda always sent aid to Mecca, because conditions were still lacking at that time. Every year, the Kingdom of Iskandar the Younger sends 200 Kilograms of gold to mecca. So that thanks to the alms or assistance provided, it continues for generations to its children and grandchildren and never stops sending assistance. Even in the 1800s, one of the Arabs donated his property to the Kingdom of Aceh, so that now the Acehnese who perform the hajj, will get one person Rp. 5 million, for the treasure that has been represented by Habib Bugak.
Many Acehnese figures became clerics in Saudi Arabia, such as Abdul Rauf Al-Singkili, Sheikh Hamzah Fansuri who became a professor in Mecca, Syamsudin al-Sumatrani.
Like the younger brother and sister of the two Kingdoms of Aceh with the Arab country helping each other. At the time of the 2004 Aceh disaster. After the tsunami in Aceh in 2004, Saudi Arabia was one of the countries that helped the country the most in Aceh Darussalam, began to carry out rehabilitation, and developed other sectors. May this be a practice between one country and another, and be a good practice in the afterlife. And the relationship between Aceh and Saudi Arabia is carried out forever in all sectors and may God bless our beloved country. Are You Okay ? But Note Good.
